Tymoshenko: Ukraine is lack of gas for own needs

Gas supplies to Europe will start as soon as Russia starts supplying gas to Ukraine, premier Yulia Tymoshenko said.

“If gas is supplied today, it will be immediately delivered to Europe,” she said at the meeting with Slovak premier Robert Fico on Wednesday in Kyiv.

At the same time, she found it difficult to answer when Slovakia would get gas.

The premier underlined once again that Ukraine is a reliable partner of Russia and of EU regarding the gas supplies.

Tymoshenko also noted that Ukraine cannot help Slovakia with gas of own production, as Ukraine itself is lack of gas for own needs.
