Tymoshenko: Gas transportation system of Ukraine - a great national treasure was and remains of state property


Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko states that the national transportation system won’t be privatized. The Head of Government stated in the framework of her working trip to Yevpatoria at a briefing.

Yulia Tymoshenko said that the position of non-admission of privatization of the national gas transportation system she had upheld for many years on end. The Head of Government reminded that on her own initiative the Parliament had passed the relevant law which declares a moratorium on sale of this system. The PM assured that the Government under her leadership would proceed with such policy in future.

Yulia Tymoshenko stressed that due to the national gas transportation system Ukraine is a valuable participant of the European energy market.

According to the Prime Minister, Ukraine will have big profits if the work of the NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine and gas transportation system are correctly developed. “So, there are no grounds to privatize this system”.
