Yushchenko says that September 9 Ukraine is signing agreement with EU

President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko is sure that September 9

Ukraine

will sign the political part of the enhanced Ukraine-EU agreement. Yushchenko said at opening of 10^th congress of World Congress of Ukrainians in Kyiv.

According to him, the signing procedure will happen at the summit Ukraine-EU scheduled for September 9 in Evian (France).

“I am sure we will get the signal which means future membership of Ukraine in the Euroepan Union,” Yushchenko said.

He underlined that the next step on the way to European integration is formation of a free trade zone.

He also stressed on the stirring up of work during the nearest four month in order to join NATO MAP in December.

President of France predicts the signing of the agreement between Ukraine and EU at the beginning of 2009.

Yushchenko intends to visit France to take part in the summit Ukraine-EU on September 9.

France is chairing the EU during the second half of 2008.
