President met with British parliamentarians


President Viktor Yushchenko met with Members of the British Parliament. President's press office reports.

In his address Viktor Yushchenko told the MPs about the results of his talks with Prime Minister Gordon Brown and about the Joint Statement they have signed. He also expressed hope that our countries would continue cooperation in commemoration of Holodomor 1932-1933 victims commemoration and research about the events.

Viktor Yushchenko also answered questions about Russian-Ukrainian relations with regard to Ukraine’s ambition to gain NATO membership. He as well told about Ukraine’s efforts in achieving diversification of energy resources market and future Kyiv Energy Summit.

Separately President expressed gratitude to the British parliamentarians for their contribution into development of Ukrainian-British relations.
