Yushchenko advises Russia to control its emotions

President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko considers that Russia’s withdrawal from the Agreement on Friendship with Ukraine will affect the relations between the two countries. He stated in an interview with BBC.

“If we appreciate our neighborhood, if we respect parents-forefathers, our traditions, our State, emotions must work least of all at the highest State level. We must speak about serious intergovernmental relations and therefore I wouldn’t throw left and right such intergovernmental agreements, because the problem can be created very easy, but years will be needed in order to solve it,” the President noted.

President Yushchenko advised Ukrainian and Russian politicians to respect benevolent relations.
