Yushchenko considers parliament’s actions as disreputable

President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko states that current political contradictions in Ukraine has institutional character, but not personal. He stated in an interview with BBC in London, where he is now on his official visit.

The main topics of the interview were political situation in Ukraine, prospects of Euro Atlantic integration of Ukraine, development of Ukrainian-Russian relations after appointment of new Russian President, and the question on frozen conflicts regulation.

Speaking about internal political situation in Ukraine, Yushchenko emphasized: “It’s a pity that the parliament starts to become a victim of some political intrigues which belong even not to the opposition, but to some political forces of the majority of the acting power”. He called such policy disreputable.

The President explained that existing political contradictions bear institutional character. And according to him, the constitutional reform can help to avoid these contradictions.
