Bohatyryova: Ukrainian political elite has reached a critical point

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Raisa Bohatyryova states that the blocking of President Yushchenko’s speech in the parliament by the BYuT is “intrusion of one-sided conception and egoistic logic in ruling the country”. It is said in her statement.

According to Bohatyryova, “on May 13 Ukrainian political elite in the parliament has reached a critical point”.

She noted that it is for the first time in practice of democracy that the leading part of political parliamentary-governmental coalition has given an ultimatum to the President, and refused the Head of the State to fulfill constitutional function – to address parliamentarians and people with the Annual speech.

According to NSDC Secretary, “it called truth and sincerity of the BYuT faction intentions in a question”.

She emphasized that these actions “bear fatal threaten for National security and destroy the stability”.
