President calls coalition to return to work

President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko called all factions of the coalition to return to the constructive and effective work. The ForUm’s correspondent reports.

Yushchenko emphasized that the BYuT and the OU-PSD must not make “populist steps”.

According to the Head of the State, the coalition must be occupied with anti inflation measures which could be implemented through changes introduction into the budget of Ukraine for 2008.

Yushchenko called members of the coalition to pay compensations those people who suffered from the inflation most of all.

The President is surprised that for the first time in the history of the Ukrainian parliament the part of the governing coalition has blocked the podium. He asked what prevented People’s deputies after the President’s address to consider social and inflation questions. “Obviously, there are other aims behind what is taking place today in the parliament,” he said.

The Head of the State noted that that political force, which doesn’t stand for stability in the parliament acts against national interests of the country.
