Yushchenko doesn’t see any threats of Ukraine’s integrity


President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko states that he doesn’t see any threats of territorial integrity of Ukraine from the side of the Russian Federation. He stated at the press conference during his official visit to Lithuania.

Answering the question, whether President is afraid that Russia will pretend for a part of the territory of Ukraine, Yushchenko said: “I'm not afraid because this will not happen, because there is Ukrainian nation, because there is Ukrainian State, because there is Ukrainian army, because there are 47 million Ukrainians, who have native land, native history, native traditions,” Yushchenko said.

He expressed assurance that statements of these or that politicians do not concern threat of Ukraine’s integrity. At the same time Yushchenko noted that one shouldn’t trifle with the integrity of the State’s territory. He reminded that territorial integrity is ensured by international obligations.
