Tymoshenko states about inflation rates slowdown


Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko states about slowdown of inflation rates and reduction of prices’ growth. She stated at the sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday, the ForUm’s correspondent reports.

“We promised that the inflation which we inherited from the previous government would be reduced in five-six months. Today we can see the reduction of inflation processes,” the Prime Minister noted.

Tymoshenko has emphasized that prices reduction for more than 20 food products can be seen now. “The prices reduction has positive tendency and dynamics,” the head of the Cabinet of Ministers said.

According to her, in May-June the government will continue the same policy on inflation reduction.

Earlier, Minister of Economy Bohdan Danylyshyn stated that inflation in Ukraine comprised 3,1%.
