Tymoshenko to lead BYT list at pre-term elections to Kyiv City Council

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko will lead a list of deputies' candidates to the Kyiv City Council from BYT. This the Head of Government disclosed on air of a special release of the program of Hanna Bezulyk “I think so” on 1+1 TV channel. Cabinet's press office reports.

Yulia Tymoshenko noted that this decision is final: “I will certainly lead the deputy candidates list to the Kyiv Council”. At that the Prime Minister explained her reasons of such actions: “This is a demonstration of responsibility to Kyiv for the list quality, for every deputy, for decisions which are taken”.

At the same time the Head of the Government believes that democratic coalition should determine a common candidate for the post of mayor and promises that BYT would take this decision at the beginning of the next week already. At that Yulia Tymoshenko is confident that a BYT candidate has all chances to be supported by Kyivans.

At the same time the Prime Minister does not rule out that a candidate from BYT can be Oleksandr Turchynov.
