Nemyrya wants to hold public discussions on MAP

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Hryhoriy Nemyrya during the “Day of the open doors”, which took place in the Cabinet of Ministers on Thursday, commented on the possible joining NATO Membership Action Plan at the Bucharest summit. The ForUm’s correspondent reports.

Nemyrya has noted that from the side of Ukraine all necessary steps were done in order to join the MAP. “We understand that discussion in NATO concerning this still continues… there is no consensus in NATO. We respect the right of all countries, which are NATO members, to have such discussion,” he said.

The vice Prime Minister is sure that in any case the progress is seen in this question. He considers that it is necessary to hold public discussions concerning Ukraine’s joining the MAP. “I have invited Foreign Minister of the opposition government, Konstantyn Hryshchenko to hold such discussion… I confirm this invitation,” Nemyrya said.
