Yekhanurov plans to increase quantity of soldiers of contract army

Minister of Defense Yuriy Yekhanurov plans to increase the quantity of soldiers of the contract army. The press service of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine informs.

“This year we plan to increase the quantity of soldiers of the contract army by 7,5 thousand men,” he stated.

As the head of the defense department informs, for today the quantity of soldiers of the contract basis of subdivisions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine makes up 52%.

Also, Minister of Defense Yuriy Yekhanurov has made a report in the Cabinet of Ministers about the work of the department on transformation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the professional basis.
