OU-PSD criticizes Tymoshenko of passive position concerning NATO

The block of Yulia Tymoshenko, as well as her government, unlike the “Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense” avoid to express its own position concerning prospective of Ukraine’s joining NATO. People’s deputy from the OU-PSD Iryna Herashchenko stated during the round table in Kyiv.

“There is no political consensus of élite concerning the NATO question and this is the main problem of Ukraine. There is a discussion in the coalition concerning the NATO joining,” she said.

“The only one true follower of realization of idea of Euro Atlantic integration is President Yushchenko, while the government speaks about NATO question very carefully. Only two ministers - the Foreign Minister and Defense Minister demonstrate their positions. Other ministers hold wait-and-see policy. And the society continues to live in myths,” Herashchenko stated.
