Tymoshenko needs half a year to reduce inflation

The government needs half a year to reduce inflation in Ukraine. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko stated at the press conference, the ForUm’s correspondent reports.

She reminded that her Cabinet has received “hyperinflation of 15%” as a heritage from the previous government. “It is impossible to regulate inflation processes for two weeks, which have been created during one and a half year,” she assured.

The PM considers that the government will be able to lower this rate in half a year. “We need half a year. This is normal economic process… We work, the program of anti inflation measures is being fully realized,” the PM said.

Tymoshenko also wishes the Ukrainian power not to have “governments which leave such hyperinflation processes with which it is necessary to struggle heroically”.
