President and PM sent letters to NATO leaders


President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko and Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko hope that NATO member countries will take a positive decision concerning Ukraine’s joining NATO Membership Action Plan in Bucharest.

President Yushchenko and PM Tymoshenko prepared joint letters to NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and President of the Republic of France Nicolas Sarkozy. In these letters President and Prime Minister expressed expectancies of support from the abovementioned leaders during the discussion of Ukraine’s joining NATO Membership Target Plan question at NATO Bucharest Summit.
