USA to provide technical assistance for law enforcement system development


The US Government will provide Ukraine with additional technical assistance of USD 4,797 million intended to improve law enforcement activity. The relevant agreement was signed by Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko and US Ambassador to Ukraine William B. Taylor, Cabinet press service reported.

The document envisages financing of a number of projects particularly to reform the law enforcement system, enhance investigative department and expert-criminalistic center of the Interior Ministry, create advocacy in line with European standards etc. "All the projects intend to harmonize the criminal justice system of Ukraine," William B. Taylor noted.

15:07 Today a ship of the Center of Overseas transport of the USA Pathfinder came to the seaport of Sevastopol with an unofficial visit, it will stay at the port on September 4-6 and 15-17, the Press Service of the State Boundary Service of Ukraine informs. The Service fulfilled all necessary procedures of registration the ship.
