Yushchenko to invite leadership of EU to Kyiv

President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko plans to invite leadership of the European countries to the energy summit, which will take place on May in Kyiv. Deputy Head of the President’s Secretariat, Olexander Chaly, stated before the summit of the European People’s party, at which many leaders of the European countries are present.

Chaly notes that at May summit the key question will be the Eurasian transit policy. “Ukraine will try to formulate new approaches to this urgent problem,” Chaly said.

Chaly also notes that at the summit Yushchenko will confirm that energy policy of Ukraine will be invariable. “Ukraine will remain a guarantor of transit of energy carriers to the European Union,” Chaly said.
