Ukraine and Russia agreed to remove gas mediator

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko stated that during the negotiations in Moscow on Wednesday the leadership of NJSC “Naftohaz" and “Gazprom” Jsc. Signed the joint approved decision concerning removal from the gas market of Ukraine the “UkrGazEnergo” company.

Besides, the sides have come to an agreement that there is no need of formation of new mediatory structures for the cooperation.

According to Tymoshenko, NJSC “Naftohaz of Ukraine” will get customs clearance itself and realize Central Middle Asia gas on the territory of Ukraine.

Also, there was taken another decision by the sides: during 2008 gas price for Ukraine will not exceed USD 179,5 per one thousand cubic meters.
