Yushchenko left for Belgium


President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko left for Belgium on a working visit in order to participate in summit of European People’s Party.

The President is expected to hold a meeting with High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, Secretary-General of the Council of the European Union Javier Solana.

Viktor Yushchenko will also meet with German chancellor Angela Merkel to discuss issue on Euro Atlantic integration of Ukraine within the context of application of Ukraine on joining action plan on membership in NATO.

The meeting of Viktor Yushchenko with Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk is also scheduled for today.

According to the data of president’s press office, Yushchenko is going to inform European colleagues on development of domestic policy and situation around gas supplies to Ukraine and its transit to European countries.
