Tymoshenko intends to buy Central Asian gas without mediators


Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko signed directives on negotiations with Gazprom according to which Ukrainian side will strive for direct agreement with “Gazpromexport” on supplies of Central Asian gas. Tymoshenko said that yesterday before her flight to Brussels.

“We intend Naftogaz to get direct gas supplies,” Tymoshenko said.

PM did not specify the date of starting negotiations but according to press secretary of Naftogaz Valentyn Zemlyaansky, negotiations on direct gas supplies are expected in the near future.

As a reminder, yesterday Gazprom canceled its restriction on gas supplies to Ukraine. Now gas is supplies in full volume.

Earlier PM Tymoshenko repeatedly said that relations between Ukraine and Russia in gas sphere must be carried out without any mediators.
