Russia advises Ukraine not to steal transit gas

Deputy chairman of State Duma of the Russian Federation Valeriy Yazev called Ukrainian side not to use gas intended for export to Europe but to take a constructive stand in gas conflict.

Yazev expressed hope that the European Commission will interfere in the situation, having noted that the EU understands that Ukrainian side caused this conflict.

According to him, current situation is a direct consequence of inner-policy situation in Ukraine. Ukraine does not fulfill agreement reached on February 12 by two Presidents.

Yazev considers that Gazprom actions are adequate and absolutely right and if conflict situation will not improve, Gazprom will continue reduce gas supplies to Ukraine.

As a reminder, Gazprom reduced gas supplies to Ukraine because of debts.
