Ukraine prepares to sign new Action plan with EU

On March 11 Ukraine and the European Union plans to approve new Action plan “plus” at the sitting of the Council on cooperation. Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Arseniy Yatsenyuk stated in Brussels after the meeting with European Commissioner for External Relations, Benita Ferrero-Waldner.

“We prepare new Action plan “plus”, it is being prepared for signing and it must be approved at the sitting of the Council on Cooperation on March 11,” the VRU chairman said.

According to Yatsenyuk, it is obviously that on March 11 the estimation of fulfillment of the previous three-year Action plan within the framework of the European policy will be considered.

As a reminder, three-year Ukraine-EU Action plan was signed on February 21, 2005. Term of its action has been completed at the beginning of this year.
