President requests payments for gas from the Cabinet

President Viktor Yushchenko sent a telegram yesterday to Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko with a request to apply all necessary measures in order to fully pay off the debts for Russian gas. The Cabinet was also requested to make steps towards implementation of the whole package of agreements, which had been reached during the meeting of President Yushchenko and President Putin in Moscow.

V. Yushchenko requested to inform him on the work done before February 27. President's press office reports.
