NSDC is sure that Rada will start its work

Temporary incapacity of the parliament may cause risks for national interests of Ukraine. Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Raisa Bohatyryova, stated at a briefing on Tuesday, ForUm’s correspondent reports.

Bohatyryova has emphasized that it is necessary to change the system of elections, which exist in Ukraine. According to her, political forces hold the country as hostage of their political debates.

The NSDC Secretary is sure that the response of the Ukrainian citizens will be adequate, in case the incapacity of the parliament continues.

Bohatyryova has noted that today no one would like to speak about new parliamentary elections. “Everyone would like the parliament, having left its secondary disagreements, to start next week with formation of the legislative field, which would lead Ukraine to stability,” she said.

Besides, Bohatyryova has noted that the People’s deputies know the law of the political science. “If there is the desire to reach the compromise, it is necessary to start with those questions, which do not cause sharp contradictions”.

The NSDC Secretary is sure that such approach will be taken as a basis for resumption of the parliament’s work on March 4.
