Leader of the Party of Regions Viktor Yanukovych plans to meet with the Secretary General of NATO Jaap de Hoop Scheffer during his visit to Brussels. The press service of the Party of Regions reports, referring to deputy head of the parliamentary faction of the Party of Regions Serhiy Lyovochkin.
According to him, the schedule of the working trip of Yanukovych to Brussels foresees his participation in the “Ukraine-EU” committee. Besides, meetings with the EU commissioner on Foreign policy Benita Ferrero-Waldner , EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana , vice President of the European parliament Marek Sivets are planned to be held.
Also, the press-conference of Yanukovych and the participation in two TV programs are included in his working schedule.
As earlier reported, the delegation of the Ukrainian parliamentarians will visit Brussels on February 26-27. The main event will be the participation of the People’s deputies in the 10th sitting of the delegation of the parliamentary committee on cooperation Ukraine-EU.
