Kazakhstan launches events within Year of Ukraine

A decade of events within the framework of the Year of Ukraine in Kazakhstan has been launched in the city of Kokshetau, Akmolinsk region.

Attendees familiarized with an exhibition of things of the Ukrainian life from funds of a regional historical and cultural museum, photo-exhibition of famous Kazakh photographer Vladislav Kholin dedicated to outstanding Ukrainians of the region, works of Ukrainian painter Rayisa Kozlova etc.

An opening ceremony of the Year of Ukraine in Kazakhstan is slated for March 5 with President Viktor Yushchenko of Ukraine and his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev. Cabinet's press office reports.
