NATO representatives not to meet with Yanukovych

In the working schedule of NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer there is no meeting for the next week with representative of the PR Viktor Yanukovych. The headquarters of the Alliance in Brussels informs.

Answering the question on possible change of the schedule and new arrangements introduction, the headquarters has noted that “it is practically impossible, because it is necessary to prepare for such meetings beforehand”.

The delegation of the Ukrainian parliamentarians will visit Brussels on February 26-27. The main event will be the participation of the People’s deputies in the 10^th sitting of the delegation of the parliamentary committee on cooperation Ukraine-EU.

Earlier, People’s deputy Hanna Herman has informed that the delegation of the Party of Regions during the meeting with the NATO leadership intends to discuss the question on withdrawal from the agenda of the Bucharest summit the question on Ukraine’s joining the NATO Membership Action Plan. It is planned that Yanukovych will meet with vice President of the European parliament Marek Sivets and supreme representative of the EU Havier Solana.
