Yanukovych has registered resolution on NATO

Leader of the Party of Regions Viktor Yanukovych has registered in the Verkhovna Rada the draft resolution according to which any decision concerning Ukraine’s joining NATO will be taken after the all-Ukrainian referendum.

“Decisions concerning Ukraine’s joining NATO will be taken after the all-Ukrainian referendum on NATO,” the document says.

According to the author of the document, this resolution is caused “by demand of more than 15 million of citizens of Ukraine to stand against Ukraine’s integration to any military and political organization, in particular NATO”.

The adoption of the resolution will give the possibility to solve socially important question, leader of the Party of Regions thinks.
