General Henault speak on enhancement of Ukraine's contingent in Kosovo

General Raymond Henault, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee leaves open the possibility for enhancement of Ukraine's contingent in Kosovo, he told a news conference. Cabinet's press office reports.

The General recalled that the Alliance has been fulfilling a peacekeeping mission in Kosovo since 1999 in accordance with the UN Security Council Resolution #1244. "We know that Kosovo is going to declare its independence, therefore the role and tasks will not be changed. This is, first of all, a stability support in the world and in the region, and secondly, this is a free movement across Kosovo whatever the future developments are," the NATO official stressed.

General Raymond Henault, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee arrived in Kyiv to hold consultations with military delegations and attend the 8th International NATO Week in Ukraine.
