USA condemns Russian threats

The State secretary of the USA Condoleezza Rice considers Russian threats to point its nuclear missiles at Ukraine as "reprehensible rhetoric".

Condoleezza Rice has confirmed that the USA “absolutely supports” the independence of Ukraine.

Rice has noted that such rhetoric of Putin is unacceptable, and “it's not helpful” to a relationship that actually has some positive aspects.

"The Soviet Union had all these parts, but that was another point in time, and it is gone forever, and I hope that Russia understands that," she said.
