President met with Ukrainian community in Russia

President Viktor Yushchenko paid a visit to Ukrainian Cultural Center in Moscow where he met with representatives of the Ukrainian community in Russia. At the Center Vitkor Yushchenko acquainted himself with its work and was shown a library and the new Ukrainian Sunday school. President's press office reports.

At the meeting with Ukrainian community representatives the President assured them that all their problems and needs will always be a subject of attention for Ukrainian authorities. According to him Ukraine will spare neither money nor efforts in satisfying national, cultural and spiritual requirements of the Ukrainians living in Russia. Among topical projects Viktor Yushchenko named opening of Ukrainian school, theater and other cultural arregements. He also called upon Ukrainian community in Russia to actively cooperate and keep up close ties with Ukraine.
