President held meeting with speaker and PM


President Victor Yushchenko held a weekly meeting with Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and Verkhovna Rada Speaker Arseniy Yatsenyuk. Among participants of the meeting also were National Security Council secretary Rayisa Bohatyryova, President’s Secretariat Chief of Staff Viktor Baloha, OU-PSD faction leader Vyacheslav Kyrylenko and BYuT leader Ivan Kyrylenko. President's press office reports.

The meeting was dedicated to the issues in parliamentary work. The President emphasized importance of finding compromise between the majority and the opposition so that functioning of the Verkhovna Rada could be renewed.

Among priority tasks before the parliament V. Yushchenko named ensuring proper functioning of the Constitutional Court and settling issues with the High Council of Justice. There are also 600 draft laws registered for discussion in the Verkhovna Rada which require urgent adoption. Besides one of the most urgent tasks to President’s mind is revision of 2008 budget.

Among participants of the meeting also were National Security Council secretary Rayisa Bohatyryova, President’s Secretariat Chief of Staff Viktor Baloha, OU-PSD faction leader Vyacheslav Kyrylenko and BYuT leader Ivan Kyrylenko.
