President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko calls upon the faction of the Party of Regions to constructive activity in the Verkhovna Rada. As the press service of the President informs, Yushchenko stated during the meeting with leader of the Party of Regions Viktor Yanukovych.
The Head of the State has noted the organizational and legislative aspects of work of the Party of Regions in the parliament.
The President has stressed that the opposition and the majority have all possibilities now for full-fledged cooperation.
The sides have also payed attention to the question of improvement of the State budget for 2008.
As earlier reported, today at 3 p.m. the sitting of the Conciliatory council of the parliament with the participation of President Viktor Yushchenko and heads of the People’s deputies’ factions will take place. The politicians will discuss variants of compromises concerning the VRU podium deblocking.
Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Arseniy Yatsenyuk on the eve had called upon all political forces to normalize the work of the supreme legislative body and proposed the compromise draft resolution concerning Ukraine’s joining NATO.
