Matvienko called upon Lutsenko and Chernovetsky to shake hands publicly

People’s deputy from the “OU-PSD” Anatoliy Matvienko doesn’t exclude that Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko can resign in connection with the incident that occurred between him and Kyiv mayor Leonid Chernovetsky.

Matvienko stated in an interview with the newspaper “Delo”: “They have to recognize their impropriety, shake hands publicly and apologize to people. If the suit is filed, one must answer in law,” he added.

Answering the question whether Lutsenko can be discharged, Matvienko said: “If he is found guilty, he will be discharged. All the more, according to new demands of the President, introduced in to the new draft law on the Cabinet, the previous conviction doesn’t enable to hold the position of such level,” he added.
