Ukrainian flag marks 16th-anniversary

16 years ago the VRU approved blue and yellow flag as National flag of Ukraine.

State flag is one of three official state symbols of Ukraine. The flag of Ukraine has two horizontal stripes of blue and yellow colour which symbolize clear sky and wheat field.

In august 2004 President Leonid Kuchma signed a decree on Day of Ukrainian flag which is marked on August 23.
