Tymoshenko: Payment of deposits is not a PR

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko assures that payments of deposits of Sberbank, salary and pension increase will not lead to inflation. She said that on January 27 on ICTV channel.

“I can say for sure that the government is working on reduce of inflation processes today. Payments of savings, increase of salaries and pensions will not cause any inflations,” Tymoshenko noted. At that Tymoshenko assured the citizens in stability of price policy on consumer market. “Do not be afraid, there will be stability in the country,” she said.

PM noted that statements of politicians on inflations and price hike are nothing more but “fight of politicos against the government”.

“Politicians, politicos and some heads who showed their inability to increase pensions, salaries, scholarships and return deposits, are now making “caterwaul”. They all are crying about inflation and that everything is wrong. I want the people to understand that it is just a fight of the politicos against the government,” Tymoshenko said.

According to her, the government has proved that return of savings of former depositors of Sberbank is not a PR of political technologies before elections but something that can be realized.

Commenting on the situation concerning queues during registration and deposit payments in departments of Oshchadbank, Tymoshenko noted: “Today everybody is complaining about long queues – for 17 years we had no queues because nobody was paid lost savings. Queues are distrust of people to all previous governments”.

PM also expressed gratitude to heads and workers of Oshchadbank for devoted work.
