Yatsenyuk: NATO does not expect Ukraine

It is important that Ukraine to havw high level of responsibility of politicians. The VRU speaker Arseniy Yatsenyuk stated today at the briefing, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.

“Ukraine has the President and legally elected government and if the parliament does not have desire to be the third constituent and to act correspondently, then in such a way we will burry the parliament and will not have possibility to influence the political processes in Ukraine,” the VR chairman said.

Going on the issue on political responsibility, Yatsenyuk reminded that in 2003 all People’s deputies, including PR, had voted for draft resolution which had foreseen membership in NATO.

According to Yatsenyuk, now it is no necessity to hold a referendum on NATO. “Nobody in NATO expects Ukraine now, tomorrow of the day after tomorrow. It is five or ten year perspective for Ukraine,” he explained.

According to Yatsenyuk, in order Ukraine to be respected abroad, it is necessary at first to lean how to respect ourselves. The stronger we are inside the country, the stronger we are in foreign vector,” he said.
