Opposition will block podium of the VRU until the VRU speaker Arseniy Yatsenyuk withdraws his signature from the letter to NATO Secretary General. The CPU member Olexander Holub told today, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.
According to Holub, if Yatsenyuk does not do this, the parliament will not work.
Holub informed that now the representatives of CPU faction will join now the PR faction to continue blocking podium. “Position of our two factions is agreed on this issue,” he added.
Yesterday Arseniy offered the People’s deputies to consider alternative and compromise draft resolution concerning Ukraine’s accession to NATO, which, according to Yatsenyuk, combines interests of opposition and coalition.
As a reminder, President Viktor Yushchenko, PM Yulia Tymoshenko and VRU speaker Arseniy Yatsenyuk have signed and forwarded letter (address) to Mr. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer NATO Secretary General concerning Ukraine’s joining Action plan on membership in NATO.
Representatives of PR and CPU stated that Yatsenyuk had not right to sign this document.
