Yatsenyuk: Relations of Ukraine and Russia must be based on mutual respect

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk considers that Ukrainian-Russian relations must be based on non-interference in sovereign rights of each other. He stated journalists, commenting on the statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry concerning the letter of the President of Ukraine, Prime Minister and VRU chairman to the NATO secretary.

According to Yatsenyuk, “it will be correct that our bilateral relations will be bases on mutual respect, and non-interference in sovereign rights.”

Yatsenyuk has noted that Ukraine respects any decision of the Russian power. According to him, this is “sovereign decision of the RF, and we respects any decision taken by the Russian President, the Russian parliament or the Russian Cabinet of Ministers.”

As a reminder, on January 22 the Foreign Ministry of Russia stated that possible Ukraine’s integration to NATO will complicate the Russian-Ukrainian relations.
