Paton told how young scientists could be kept in Ukraine


President of the National academy of science Borys Paton thanked Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko for concern of destinies of young scientists. He stated at the sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday, ForUm’s correspondent reports.

According to Paton, the quantity of postgraduate students, who enter the Academy of science, is equal to the quantity in 1990. At the same time he noted that young scientists after their study look for a job where the salary is higher and where a flat is given. “We loose these talented people,” Paton emphasized.

Paton proposed to give these young scientists the possibility to obtain flats, high salary and necessary equipment. According to him, it will help to solve the problem.

Besides, the scientist informed that representatives of the Academy of scientists had prepared a list of scientists who could be introduced in to the ministries boards and scientific and technical committees.
