New flag of Ukraine will be hang in Maydan

In Kyiv since January 22, 2008 facades of state and communal institutions will be decorated with state flags permanently. According to the press office of Kyiv city council, secretary of Kyiv council Oles Dovhyi informed yesterday at the arrangements on occasion of the Reunion Day.

“Since January 22, 2008 flags of Ukraine will be set in communal and state buildings permanently instead of hanging only before the holiday as it was earlier,” he said.

Moreover Dovhyi informed that city power intends to change flag in central square of Kyiv – Maydan Nezalezhnosti. “Flag will be new and much bigger than it is now,” he said.
