Tymoshenko destroys relations with Russia?

Party of Regions shares concern of Russian ambassador to Ukraine Viktor Chernomyrdin about perspective of worsening of Ukrainian-Russian relations. The statement of Party of Regions says.

“Rhetoric, applied by Ukrainian power on commentaries on topics concerning our two brotherly peoples, has threat of worsening of Ukrainian-Russian relations. First of all it may have bad influence on economic cooperation of two countries. Party of Regions totally shares concern of Viktor Chernomyrdin,” the PR statement says.

“We together with our Russian partners did much for improvement of Ukrainian-Russian relations. We melt ice in relations between two countries which were hardened after first arrival of Tymoshenko to power. We renewed mutually beneficial relations and economic cooperation between our countries. However, returning of populists to the power brings threat of destruction of bridges towards the East, which we built and try to build,” the statement says.

According to PR, it always pays attention to Ukrainian-Russian relations and will make efforts for their development and improvement. PR calls political forces to unite in this necessary affair for Ukraine.

PR demands Ukrainian power to stop forcing misunderstandings and blowing of delicate topics.

Viktor Chernomyrdin stated earlier that in case Ukraine joins NATO, Russian will reconsider Ukrainian-Russian relations.
