President pays two-day visit to Zakarpattya region

On January 13 President Viktor Yushchenko went with a two day visit to Zakarpattya region. The aim of the visit is to hold meetings with President of the Republic of Hungary László Sólyom on January 13 and with President of Slovak Republic Ivan Gašparovič on January 14, according to President's press office.

In scope of the meeting with President of the Republic of Hungary László Sólyom Viktor Yushchenko expressed gratitude to Hungarian side for signing agreement on boundary movement noting however that some problems regarding visa regime still remain unsolved. Yushchenko also pointed to low level of efficiency of check-points on Ukrainian-Hungarian border regarding especially transit of cargo and civil auto transport. He expressed hope that Hungarian side shall show support in resolving these issues.
