Yushchenko asks VRU to define status of OUN-UPA warriors


President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko submitted to the parliament draft bill “On legal status of participants of struggle for independence of Ukraine in 20-90s years of XX century.” He informed about it today in scope of annual meeting with Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and VRU chairman Arseny Yatsenyuk with participation of NSDC secretary and head of President’s secretariat.

Viktor Yushchenko by this draft bill asks to define to which category citizens, who participated in political, partisan, secretor armed struggle more than three years in Ukrainian military organization, Carpathian Sich, OUN, UPA, Ukrainian liberation council, belong.

President asks the VRU to consider this draft bill as urgent one.

15:07 Today a ship of the Center of Overseas transport of the USA Pathfinder came to the seaport of Sevastopol with an unofficial visit, it will stay at the port on September 4-6 and 15-17, the Press Service of the State Boundary Service of Ukraine informs. The Service fulfilled all necessary procedures of registration the ship.
