Ukraine will have obligatory medical insurance


The government will implement obligatory state medical insurance preserving and improving list of provided by state free medical insurances. The revised program on government’s activity, published today at the government site, says.

Moreover, the government plans to carry our structured reorganization of medical provision and develop family doctor practice. The government plans to develop legal mechanism of activity of family doctor institution and provide every family with family doctor within five years.

The government program is also aimed at improvement of prophylactic examination of people, development of rural medicine by means of implementation of system “Village doctor” and provision of village medicines department with automobiles.

Attention will be also paid to control for production, import, distribution and advertisement of pharmaceutical products and quality of medicines.

The government is going to implement effective economic mechanisms of European standard for decrease of level of alcohol consumption and tobacco products.

The government also promises to attract investments in public health and make conditions for development of private medicine practice.
