Cabinet approved expected gas balance for 2008

Governmnet has approved expected gas balance for 2008. Fuel and Energy Minister of Ukraine Yury Prodan informed today, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.

According to Prodan, volume of imported gas in Ukraine this year will comprise 55 milliard cubic meters; own production of gas will comprise 20 milliard cubic meters.

Prodan also informed that today government formed commission in order to check activity of National “Naftogaz Ukraine” Jsc.

As a reminder, today the President signed a decree “Issues on activity of National “Naftogaz Ukraine” Jsc.

“Naftogaz Ukraine” is the biggest state oil and gas company of Ukraine, enterprises of which produce more than 97% of gas and oil in Ukraine.
