Tymoshenko wants harmonious relations with Russia

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko considers that she will succeed in achieving understanding with leadership of Russia, being guided by the Ukrainian national interests, Cabinet press service reported.

“We know our national interests, we take care of them, and won’t betray them for any elections, posts, vanity. Here lies value of our team for Russia,” Yulia Tymoshenko said by her live in the programme “I think so” on “1+1” TV channel.

The Head of Government stressed that a team which had come to power in Ukraine, does not intend to continue practice of the previous years when representatives of the Ukrainian political circles on the eve of stated elections used to go to Moscow for support.

“I believe that we’ll be predictable for Russia and its President Volodymyr Putin,” Yulia Tymoshenko said.

“We can lay the foundation, basis once and for all when we say: here are our interests and here are the interests of Russia – let us balance, make an inventory of problem issues which haven’t been solved for many years and find ways of their regulation adhering, undoubtedly, to the national interest of Ukraine,” the PM emphasized, noting that such approach would permit to enter into harmonious relations between two states.
