President congratulated Lithuanian and Romanian leaders

President Victor Yushchenko has offered his best birthday wishes to Lithuania’s Valdas Adamkus. Valdas Adamkus was born on 3 November 1926 in Kaunas.

Yushchenko expressed confidence in a telephone conversation Lithuania would continue its democratic and European advance under Adamkus, describing its partnership with Ukraine as "trustful." He wished the Lithuanian leader" strong health, creative inspiration and much success," president's press office reported.

Vitor Yushchenko also has extended his best birthday wishes to Romanian President Traian Basescu, who was born on 4 November 1951 in the town of Basarabi.

Yushchenko wished the people of Romania prosperity and his counterpart health and success. He thanked the Romanian leader for his efforts aimed at developing Ukraine’s ties with Romania and said he expected Basescu to visit Ukraine in 2008 to co-chair the second session of the Ukrainian-Romanian Presidential Commission.
