President Yushchenko met with Sarkozy

French President Nicolas Sarkozy welcomed Victor Yushchenkoto the Élysée Palace on Friday for face-to-face talks expected to focus on how to boost Ukraine’s political, economic and humanitarian ties with France.

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton was present at this ceremony.

Yushchenko said he was glad to see two big friends of Ukraine - Sarkozy and Clinton. “People, who have done much to promote democracy in the world. I’m glad to see these two great men," Yushchenko emphasized.

In his turn Clinton said that Sarkozy had invited him to meet Yushchenko and he had agreed gladly.

Clinton notes warm relations between Ukraine and the USA, in particular, between the presidents. He evaluates highly the activity of Yushchenko in the direction of democracy development.
